The New Jersey HIV Planning group aims to hold representatives of varying race/ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, educational backgrounds, socioeconomic status and people at risk or living with HIV. The Governance Committee ensures that the needs, concerns, and issues of these populations and communities are represented within its membership, including individuals with both personal and professional expertise.

If you are interested in becoming an NJHPG Member, the process is fairly simple but extensive. Essentially, it can be broken down into two parts: (1) Application and (2) Interview. New NJHPG Members are only introduced twice a year in the months of January and June. If you’d prefer Committee Membership, you must complete the application and attend 3 meetings within a 6-month period of the committee you wish to be a part of.

Anyone from the community interested in joining may apply at any time. Applicants for any type of Membership are required to participate in the orientation, Committee Meetings, trainings, and workgroup activities. Please note the application below is an Airtable Forum which means you can complete the application using only your computer. Please use the links provided below.

All applications will be kept confidential. A representative of the NJHPG Support Team will contact you to confirm interest in membership prior to reviewing your application.

Requires a completed application, the Support Team will follow-up to schedule an interview.

NJHPG Members have voting privileges across Committees & at General Assembly Meetings.

Requires Attendance at 3 Meetings within a 6-month time span & a completed application.

Committee Members will receive voting privileges ONLY within their selected committees.

The NJHPG is also proud to host Ad Hoc Committees for specific projects such as Strategic Planning, Implementation, and more. While not designated full committees, workgroups meet to conduct research and plan on specialized topics for events and programs hosted by the NJHPG.

If you are interested in learning more about these workgroups or how to get involved, please contact us!
